What is your role at TOMRA Food?

I support Sales to sell more machines 😊 Customers need solutions for their problems, so sales managers and I try to find the best solutions for them. Which machine, with what configurations, the correct position, and more. I do tests and demos for customers and create reports, so when customers want to see results before buying, that means it's showtime for me.
On the other hand, we work on new applications as a SASE, creating application packages to guide people interested in these applications.
So, when people have questions, we have answers. 😊

What is your role at TOMRA Food?

I am the People and Organisation Manager for Dublin, I also support colleagues in the UK, India and Japan. My role involves developing and implementing P&O strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy and the “One TOMRA” “One Voice” concept. On a daily basis I work with the management team on topics like performance management, training, talent development, succession planning, recruitment, onboarding and employee engagement. I am responsible for payroll for Dublin employees and I interface with finance on budgeting and planning topics. I am responsible for HR compliance and ensuring a safe environment for all. My role also involves supporting our employees on all HR requests policies, procedures and benefits.

TOMRA Food has appointed category expert Marco Colombo as Global Category Director Potatoes. In this role, he will strengthen the company’s relationship with the potato industry even further and consolidate its position as a thought leader in the sector.

Helena Dreisig has been appointed as Head of People & Organisation TOMRA Group and TOMRA Food in January 2020. She joins TOMRA from the Global Minerals and lime producer Lhoist Group, where she spent 13 years in various international HR roles, most recently as VP HR Europe.

She was born in Denmark from Danish parents. During her youth she lived in the US, before moving to Belgium where she has kept her base.

Michel Picandet has been appointed Executive Vice President and Head of TOMRA Food. He joined the company on January 1st, 2020 and will be based at the TOMRA Food headquarters in Leuven, Belgium. In his new role, he will be in charge of the company’s three brands: TOMRA Food, Compac and BBC Technologies.

What is your role at TOMRA?

Currently I’m a Project Manager. In that role I’m responsible for the (further) development of the TOMRA 5B. Before that I was Application Engineer.

I joined TOMRA Food as a Business Development Specialist in May 2017. From the market research at the beginning of a new project, until the development of marketing deliverables at the end, it is very exciting to introduce a new food sorting application to the TOMRA Food family. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling the world, discovering new cultures.
