TOMRA Sorting Food, the global leader in sorting and peeling solutions, brings virtual reality (VR) to Fruit Logistica 2018. The VR application enables tradeshow attendees to travel around a simulated food processing environment and see the TOMRA 5A and TOMRA 5B in action. This interactive experience is available at the TOMRA booth B-15 in Hall 5.1.
Within the VR app, customers will feel as though they are in a real-life production facility and can browse hotspots by pushing the TOMRA VR trigger. The hotspots allow users to discover extra machine details, set the number of defects entering the processing line and determine amounts being accepted and rejected. Users will also be able to select a wide variety of food applications to represent the processing line according to their individual sorting needs, such as potatoes, peas, green beans and French fries.
“TOMRA’s customers look to us for innovation and expect to be taken to places that satisfy their desire to interact with the product,” said Björn Weyts, Global Marketing Manager at TOMRA Sorting Food. “This virtual reality experience shows the production environment and the story behind the sorting equipment in an entirely new and engaging way.”
TOMRA’s VR app can be experienced at multiple trade shows throughout 2018, as well as in the test and demonstration facilities of TOMRA Sorting Food’s headquarters and during customer visits globally.
